Kacha is a modern digital wallet solution designed to simplify financial transactions, enable secure payments, and improve access to essential financial services. Built as a cross-platform mobile application with a powerful web administration portal, Kacha allows users to send money, make payments, and manage their finances seamlessly.
Building Kacha required solving several complex technical and operational challenges. Ensuring consistent performance across Android and iOS platforms demanded a scalable cross-platform approach. Designing a feature-rich web administration portal introduced usability challenges, as administrators needed powerful tools without unnecessary complexity. Supporting offline transactions via USSD, securely integrating external mobile money platforms, and maintaining long-term system reliability through continuous updates further increased the platform’s complexity.

TransfersKacha was developed using robust cross-platform frameworks to deliver a seamless mobile experience on both Android and iOS devices. An intuitive web administration portal was designed to provide administrators with clear visibility into users, transactions, and system operations. USSD integration enabled uninterrupted access to core wallet services without internet connectivity, while secure API integrations ensured safe and reliable deposits from external payment platforms.

To achieve widespread accessibility, we utilized Flutter to build a lightweight, highly efficient mobile application that performs flawlessly even on lower-end devices. The web component leverages React to provide a comprehensive dashboard for merchants and power users, all integrated into a secure financial ecosystem. As the first private payment instrument issuer in the region, the platform supports critical functions like remittances and bill payments with high security and reliability. This project showcases our ability to deploy fintech solutions that drive national-scale digital transformation.
